Bout of Books Read-a-thon day 2!

Goals:
I need to read four books this week to catch up with my reading goal for the year so that's what I'm aiming for! I know some people who are aiming for way more than me but I don't want to go completely crazy this week...

Tuesday
Number of books I've read today: 0
Total number of books I've read: 0
Books read today: Black Hole Sun by David Macinnis Gill, The Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan
Comments:

Let's just call day two my cheat day. I basically spent the entire day hyperventilating, studying for a final exam. It was horribly stressful! After the test I had yet another school event and arrived home about nine o' clock. From this point on I planned to study for yet another final (scheduled at 8 a.m.!) and read a bit of Percy Jackson. What I ended up doing was reading two chapters of Percy and then promptly passing out.

Short version: Tuesday = Fail

Roadblocks #2 - On Procrastination and Excuse making

As you have probably noticed this blog has been quite for awhile.

My reasons you ask? Honestly...

I HAVE NONE.

This is going to be me standing up to my lazy, excuse making, procrastinating a**. So as much as I would like to tell you how incredibly busy I have been lately, and all the tragic events that have kept me from writing a blog post I won't. I refuse!

The truth is that over the past few weeks I have been accepting crap like this from myself:

 "Oh, I'm too busy!"

"I'll have more energy tomorrow"

"I should eat first"

"It's already really dark outside....maybe another time.."

The real reason I haven't been blogging is because I am a master procrastinator and excuse maker. No matter how busy my life has been these past few weeks no different from how busy it has always been, and will always be.

I won't pretend that my accepting my flaws makes them go away, but it does help. Now, no more BS guys. I'm making time, because I want to do this and I shouldn't let anything stop me.
This is what I always have as my computer background.  Sometimes all I need is a harsh reminder  about what how my priorities reflect my values.
That's the real question I had to sit down and ask myself. How important is this to me? I guess, that will be determined by my post, or lack of post, over the next few weeks. I'd like to believe that this is important to me. It sure does feel like it.

Until next time guys! Hopefully, next time isn't Roadblocks #3.
